Hello, they brought me this laptop, it had the hdd changed for an ssd and after some time it stopped working. There is power voltages on the connector and if i put an hdd it spins, but there is no voltage on the data pins and its not detected at all on bios. I can install windows on the ssd on a caddy in place of the dvd drive but if i shutdown it will not boot, it says no hdd found. Only if i use hirens boot from hard drive it will see the hdd in the caddy and boot normally.
So is there a way to troubleshoot this? And if not is there a way to boot from the caddy by default? A bypass on the motherboard or a mod on bios?
