HP Elitebook 820 G2 ... turns off exactly after 30 minutes

Hi,
First excuse me for my bad English. I have an 820 G2 that shuts down after 30 minutes. I have read that it may be due to the corrupted bios (or EC). Is there any way to fix? From windows 10 i can't install Intel ME drivers / firmware, can the problems be related to each other? I bought the notebook at a flea market and I don't know if the problem was there before, or if it appeared after I flashed the bios to remove the password (and it worked). Thanks to whoever wants to help me

As indirectly mentioned above, shutdown after exactly 30 minutes is likely a Watchdog timeout due to the Management Engine not initializing properly. The way to fix that is to "clean" the ME region in the firmware image. See https://winraid.level1techs.com/t/gu...lization/31277 for that. In rare cases the problem might also occur due to a hardware problem, namely the PCH's "Descriptor Security Override Strap", on most PCHs HDA_SDO might be pulled low for some reason. That also disables the ME and would result in the same problem.
