    X555LD i7 Processor Suspicious

    Hey!!
I've an ASUS X555LD motherboard with an i7 processor.
Yesterday, when i tested it the first time the processor went very hot, i had to disconnect it from the power supply.
I took back the heatsink, later I made another test, and I saw that the processor wasn't heating so much (i couldn't see that there was a small area of the proccesor that continued heating, which I saw later).
Hoping that the processor weren't the problem i continued exploring the motherboard. I thought that it could be a BIOS problem, so I looked for the VCC signal of the bios chip, and i didn't find it. I followed the net of the VCC line and saw that i had a short in the output of the 3.3V regulator.
I injected 3V directly to this line, and I realized that a very small area of the processor was heating a lot.
I think that the processor is shorted, but I want to listen any advice which could give me more information.
    Thanks a lot.

If the PCH (small die on the CPU package) gets hot when injecting on 3V rail, it's dead.

Yes, that's what is getting hot.
      I'll sell it for pieces.
      Thanks a lot.
