Hey guys, I had a search for this but couldn't find anything pertaining specifically to the 'case' of a tant capacitor. I'm a self-taught n00b.
I am replacing a blown ppbusg3h cap on an 820-00239 board (badcapp.jpg). I do not have the same board but I have an 820-00840-A. I had a search around the 820-00840-A schematics and found another cap (potentialreplacement.JPG) that has the same 33uf capacity, 20% tolerance and 16v rating. They have slightly different markings, are the same size but slightly different dimensions. It is listed as a different 'case' (b1s vs b3), is this an issue? Could anyone give me a link or rundown on what case means? Is it merely a form-factor thing or could it be an issue?
