    HP Pavilion DV7-6150ev - Remove GPU Diode/SMD ?

    Hello,

Question, i saw a guide in many laptops that you could remove 1-2 chips, and you could take off "the power" that goes to GPU ,so the laptop would work with the internal graphics.

I have a DV7 6150ev, which yesterday showed artifacts and blocked the screen etc. i tested , and was sure about the graphics , and the problem is on the chips i believe because as you heat them up with reflow it works for 1-2 minutes .

I have changed thermal pads, thermal paste etc etc.

So i have a really specific question , about if anyone knows which i should remove.

Here is picture of the board:

P.S: I could buy easily one without graphics from aliexpress, which are damn chip 30-40$ but to wait 1-2 months is not an option.

Hm. I should when i am 100% that works great, because now i have problem on each restart i have to remove the CMOS bios, and reset the BIOS to work again.
Otherwise it's blinking the "Caps lock" without any light.

I believe it's because it's trying to open , the "GPU" because inside the BIOS,it sees it.

Can we mod, the BIOS to remove the GPU from the BIOS?
