Asus UX510UWK Rev 2.0 keys not working

    Hi, 8 keys not working, 6, 7, y, u, h, j, n and m.

    Same problem as:
    https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=80874

    Keyboard changed, no result.

Connector fine, traces to EC fine.

EC KB9026P faulty? or Needs a EC update?

    Any solution?

A number of cases may be possible: It may need reprogramming EC, replacing KBC, or inspecting the connector.
Put replacing KBC last. Sometimes the keyboard connector seem fine, but it cannot make proper connection on a few pins.

It was the keyboard flex, pin 1 broken. The replacement had same issue (pulled from other laptop)

ASUS ROG STRIX B550-I GAMING - M.2_2 port not working correctly with SAMSUNG SSD980 1TB NVME SSD
        by DynaxSC
        Hi,

I have an really very weired issue with ASUS ROG STRIX B550-I GAMING.

Some NVME (PCIe) SSD's are not working correctly in the second M.2 socket. An example of it is the SAMSUNG SSD980 1TB NVME SSD.
Some other NVME (I have only smaller ones) disk do work without any problem, also SAMSUNG disks, eg an MZVPV128HDGM-0000.

The behaviour is also really very strange, i.e.:
        • The disk shows always up in BIOS - so it is recognized, so far so good
        • POST-ing with this disk with fresh Windows 24H2 installation (done in the M.2_1 socket) in the M.2_2 socket

RTX3090 working fine but fans not spinning
        by emil_t
Hello guys. I have a problem with a PNY XLR8 GAMING RTX3090 graphics card. The problem is that it displays and works fine, but the fans don't spin at all. The problem occurred when someone else removed the fans in order to clean it and broke one of the fan connectors. He replaced it himself and after that, it wasn't working anymore. I guess he damaged something else in the process. What i have done so far: I found 2 capacitors next to the connector that were in a bad shape, he must have touched them with his tools - they weren't shorted, but i replaced them with similar ones from a similar card....

ASUS TUF GAMING Z790-PLUS WIFI - BIOS Help
        by grimacelord
        Hello,

I have spent the last hour on this and I guess this is just over my head, so here I am.

I have an ASUS TUF GAMING Z790-PLUS WIFI motherboard here that needs to have the BIOS updated in order to accept the latest CPUs.

The BIOS chips seem to come as a set of two: GD25B64ESIG and GD25B128ESIG. My guess is one of them is a fail-safe for the main BIOS? I really don't know. Or one of them is ME and other is BIOS? I don't know.

Anyway, I took dumps of both chips and then downloaded the latest update for this motherboard from ASUS's website...
