    asus x555uj strange behaviour

    asus x555uj strange behaviour:
    1 - reprogrammed bios -> it turn on with delay
    2 - clear ME -> delay remain
    3 - reprogrammed with another bios -> it turn on with delay
    4 - clear ME -> delay remain
    So after other checks:
    1 - the delay time it's not the same
    2 - with an hard disk from another asus -> it stuck at asus logo , sometime it reboot
    3 - easyflash don't start -> blank screen and return to bios screen
    4 - the battery led remain red after I disconnecting battery
    I wish there is not a problem with PCH and I wish the issue came from ram or ite, any suggest ?

    Try booting from a linux cd/usb with the HDD board removed. If the delay is gone check,resolder or replace j3903 on the HDD board.

      The system is not stable, this is the post code list after some shut and start
      , I take last bios from this forum and and is considered working

      system cold
      -> push start
      -> code 35 (20 sec)
      -> code 79 (30 sec)
      -> asus logo
      -> code 78 (stuck at)

      system hot
      -> push start
      -> code a9 (stuck no image but led on)

      -> push to shut
      -> immediately start
      -> code a9 (30 sec)
      -> code a6 (bios screen) this post is correct

      -> push to shut
      -> correctly shut down
      -> push to start
      -> code 78 (stuck at)

      -> push to shut
      -> immediatly start
      -> code a6 (after 70 sec bios screen)

      -> push to shut
      -> remain off correctly
      -> push to start
      -> code 79 (20 sec)
      -> code a6 (bios screen)

      -> inser linux pendrive
      -> push to start
      -> code 79 (asus logo and stuck at for 60 sec)
      -> restart itself
      -> code 79 (asus logo -> blank screen -> stuck at for 60 sec)
      -> restart itself
      -> code 62 (blank screen, stuck at)

        If it has soldered-on RAM, try with and without additional RAM stick.

          I wanted to disable the onboard ram, but reading some posts and having done some tests in the past I decided that it was better not to try. I have a zenbook with a good video card and I preferred to put in the i7 of the x555uj .
          Fortunately, it starts up correctly and charges the battery.
          I can say that the problems were not about the processor and the bios, probably the ram was the cause.
          But changing the dimm_sel really excludes the bank of ram ?
          has anyone really managed to disable the bank?
