    Asus g752vy thermal pad thickness

I have bought a new motherboard for an asus G752VY (obviously it's not new as the chinese guy on aliexpress
said, the GPU was changed or reworked but the job seems made very well).
Unfortunately there are no thermal pads on motherboard .
After I have protected the parts with adhesive tape I put an epoxy glue on heatsink and remount it.
After an hour I have removed the heatsink and measured the thickness of the epoxy, I have obtained
a 0.5 mm for the vram and 0.25 mm for the coils and mosfets.
But it's correct my approach to know the thickness of the pads ?

your method seems good in the measurement. Usually, an error of 1 mm or less is acceptable in pad thickness measurement, because thermal pads used for vram and coils and mosfets are mostly 16 mm flexible rubber Silicon pads that shrinks to the required thickness after mounting. Off course, you can use a 0.8 mm rubber pad for this laptop.
