For ITE ECs you will need the PEB-1 extension board for RT809F, I don't know of any other way. ENE KB90xx can be programmed directly though.

YES bro.. by using custom mode... you can use the KB terminal and check the SIO pin data to know you the pinning sulotion.. ive tired thus method and 100% working on Lenovo G500

i can confirm for ec ene but did not HAVE the opportunity to try on ite ec.

based on the schematics of Lenovo G400/G500 it uses ENE KB9012 and it can be done easily... my concern was on ITE chips...
