    Asus X53SC-SX043V nvidia problem

    Hello to everybody,

    I really need your help on this one because it is driving me nuts!
    The laptop has two gpus I have changed the nvidia one N12P-GVR-OP-B-A1 because after a while it had lines. After changing everything works but on device manager the nvidia gtx 520 has an error code 43(windows has disabled this device because it reported problems). Already have tried fresh install, bios update without any change. The odd thing is that even in a fresh install without any driver installed it has that error! Also I changed the gpu second time with the same result..

    Any help would be appreciated!

      Maybe the nividia chip is the problem, why you don't reball the old one and give it a try, just for test, if the error code is gone, then you know that the new one was the problem.

          Thanks for your reply. I soldered back the original one and it has the same code error!.
          Any ideas?

              You can try with a linux cd, just for checking what it does.

                  Hello,

                  Today I run an ubuntu live cd. On system details I have only Intel Sandybridge as graphics card..So I guess there is something wrong with nvidia's initialization right?

                      Hello,

                      I have a problem with the bios, let me explain.

                      With BIOS 1, the pc takes +- 30 seconds to display the ASUS logo (black screen) and to boot.

                      I did a clear ME, my black screen problem for 30 seconds at boot is solved, it gives me directly the display and boots quickly.

                      My problem is that now, once the charger is plugged in and I put a slight load on the processor, it bogs down to 0.39GHz...
                      The only solution is to unplug the charger to get the cpu back up to speed. But as soon as I plug in the charger, it goes straight back down....

                      Asus GA402RK keyboard and kb backlight problem

                      Hi. I have a problem with Asus ROG GA402RK. The keyboard suddenly stopped working along with the kb backlight. I replaced the keyboard and the ITE KBC chip and the problem is still the same. I don't see any passive elements that look damaged. Does anyone have an idea?
