compaq fx 7000 wont turn on

Hi guys theres a short on this laptop on the 3alw line,theres a pad pjp3 that divide those voltage 3alwp transform into 3alw, the problem start there , i havent be able to find the short, on the 3 alw line can anyone give me a hand.

First off your motherboard power and open your pwm controller becarefull no power input this state, then check meter on diode mode the 3v short or not if short the pwm is OK if short is gone pwm bad.
second step you have a automatic dc power supply , turn this power into 5v and open 3v short coil then you can power input 5v positive to the coil and feel which pf (capacitor or Mosfet Is hot........................Your are welcome & you can repair this

i already apply 5 v not in the coil because , that part is ok, i already divide using that pad pjp3, i desolder that pad, and inject 5 v where that short is, and the only thing that got hot was the needle, that im using to inject power.
