    Latitude 5520 i7, adapter light goes off when plugged in

    Hello! This is my very first post, thanks for accepting me on this forum.

    i have a 5520 latitude that suddenly stopped charging, the light from the adapter goes off when it’s plugged it, i tested different chargers, checked the ports and they seem to be fine, any help would be appreciated

      Search this forum for the numerous threads on the PS_ID pin used by the Dell adapters. This one-wire interface is used to gauge the power of the adapter. Often this link breaks and then the adapter is assumed to be under rated.
