Lenovo ThinkBook 15 G4 IAP HLXA4 LA-L931P Rev 1A device's onboard rams are faulty how can I disable the rams, can anyone help?
Original bios is attached
Serial No : MP2EF9WE
I couldn't find the bios to disable the onboard rams. But I found the motherboard schematics and boardview, to disable the onboard rams I removed the RC160 (10K) resistor on the left side of the processor and put it on RC164, and removed the RC161 (10K) resistor and put it on RC165, the onboard rams were disabled. I installed 16GB DDR4 ram in the ram slot and it is working fine now. I am posting it here in case someone else needs it.
