    NM-D011 E14 Gen2 CPU without power

    Hi

    I have a NM-D011 (E14 Gen2, Intel) board that's stuck in a boot loop. My findings:
    • the board consumes around 1.5 - 2W (~0.1A)
    • there is continous coil whining
    • all main power rails are active
    • there are no clock signals, especially eSPI (although I haven't checked the XTAL and RTC crystals because I don't know how to)
    • +VCCIN is 0v, none of the CPU power rails are below 40Ohm to ground
    • the controller providing +VCCIN (PU8/RT3612EG) isn't enabled
    • neither the enabling signal (EC_VR_ON) nor the power rail pulling it up (+VCCST_CPU) are there
    • no other parts seem to be shorted, at least nothing is getting exceptionally hot
    • the +1.2V (and its source P_VDDQ_LX_30) are missing, altough P_VDDQ_BST_30 exists. I'd still assume 47Ohms to gnd is ok because its a CPU rail?
I cannot tell whether the CPU is dead, but I wouldn't think so as there is no short (at least not below 40Ohm as stated above).
Also I do not know how EC_VR_ON is created because I cannot find any information about the IT8227E EC.
Might this be a firmware issue?

I've tried to get some of this information by reading CPU specs, but I was unable to find in which sequence the EC is involved, what is firmware dependant etc.

Thank you very much in advance.
