    Dell Latitude 5500 LA-G901P shorted +3.3V_ALW

    Hi,

    Only one dead short 0 Ohm on line +3.3V_ALW (+3.3V_ALWP is ok, I remove PJP102...
    Strange, I put from 0.5v-3v and current up to 5A (voltage goes 0.45V max) but strange nothing I can't feel that goes hot, and unfortunately I not have IR camera...
    Any idea?

      Remove the cpu heatsink. The pch on the cpu may be shorted.

          Heatsink was already removed pch not hot,not ever warm at all...

              What is the resistance to ground of +3.3V_ALW_PCH?

                  +3.3V_ALW_PCH is 25k to gnd,no shorted

                          Will check, but looks like some cap shorted, strange it draws 5A but can't feel heat anywhere

                              With this kind of current absorption on shorted +3.3V rail, SOC is very very likely shorted
