Hp Elitebook 840 g3. Power light constantly on
Hi great minds. Please I have this hp Elitebook 840 g3. When shotdown the system the power light will remain on constantly. Can anyone share any posible solution to this issue. Thank you so much in advance.

Not sure if I see a schematic for this model but you can share more details of any silk screening on the logic board.
Locate the power connector on the board. After this connector will be (usually) 2 x DCin mosfets and then a battery charger IC. Post pics and/or full details of what you see. We need to know which battery charger is onboard.
It is possible that you have a leaky mosfet in the power path and causing the power light to remain on. Is it possible the referenced light is the 'battery is charging' light?
Perform a long keypress on the ON/OFF button. Does this force all lights to go dark? Otherwise, perhaps the laptop is just going into SLEEP mode.
