ASUS GA401IH ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 does not power off

Laptop was hit by a lightning.
Killed 1.8v, CPU, BIOS, embedded controller.
    Fixed everything.
    Laptop powered, works 99.9%>

Pressing power button ONCE does not turn it off.
I have to press it for 2 seconds and let go, then it will go into normal shutdown process.
If i hold it any longer, it will go into FORCED shutdown as expected.

I replaced the button, no change.
Replaced U3201 power switch/reset logic SLG4E42553VTR no change.
Anything else that can cause issues like that ?
Perhaps BIOS is not legit ? I dont have any other bios.

Confirm that the power button has the required pull-up resistor @ R3019. When the power button is not pressed, what is the voltage on PWR_SW#?

From where was the U3201 sourced? Donor board? Silego are effectively low density FPGA / CPLD devices and code must be injected into the component to make them perform like a state machine. For this reason, donor boards are most likely the only option for this component.

U3201 was brand new. It got flashed as soon laptop powered.
I believe asus has a section in the bios dedicated for flashing this Embedded controller as soon as it boots when its blank.
So my next question is: how to reset the EC so it would reflash its self ?
Otherwise i have to buy blank chip or buy vetryanov programmer for hundreds of dollars to flash it manually.

I am reading 3.3v before and after R3019

Perhaps nothing to do with bios and EC firmware.
Try removing ethernet/sound/wifi one by one and see if you can shutdown properly.
If problem persists after these steps, then proceed to check whether the enable for 3VS/5VS dc-dc transfer ic is removed on shotdown or not?
If the enable is not removed for dc-dc transfer, then replace this dc-dc IC.
If power button is on keybaord, try without kbd.

                Just ordered one.
Is there a tutorial how to deal with ASUS bios and extracting part for the EC ?

PCB by its self without anything connected does same thing. Most likely EC firmware at this point.
There are no timing caps in circuit that i could suspect to cause issues so.........
                Will see.
