ASUS ROG SCAR 16 (G634J) - intermittent freezing

Hi guys, this is my first post on here so please be gentle.

I have this ASUS ROG SCAR 16 - G634J laptop that keeps on freezing intermittently, showing a red blinking battery light, resulting in a frozen screen, unresponsive keyboard, only a hard reset will bring it back on. I will say that due to the frequency of it happening now it is really hard to try to load up any monitoring software etc.
Now here is the thing, I have seen at least 5-6 posts around on reddit and ASUS's official forums with individuals all having this exact issue. My bet is that its something to do with the power delivery, but I have no board view and am quite a novice when it comes to these repairs so I dont really know what components to start looking at first. I want to say that I do have a miltimeter and a soldering station so I am really just looking for some help from some more experienced folks to guide me through the process of it.
I am a bit suprised that there is no real mentions about this particular fault and the probable causes of it online anywhere(especially that it seems to be dooming multiple models form around the same production time), as I would suspect a lot of these units are now out of warranty and do end up on independent tech's benches somewhere.
Again any help would greatly be appreciated, and please do understand that I am a novice trying to lear the ropes, so apologies for any silly/stupid questions from my end, but I do genuenly want to learn

In my experience, intermittent freezing is typically either RAM related or bad balls under the CPU. In some cases, it can be a bad SSD too.

So start with the stuff you can swap first, like SSD and RAM. Check the RAM slot pins for any looseness or contamination from insect poop etc. You can run Memtest from a USB as well as this will give the CPU and RAM a good test.

Appreciate the insight, I know I have tried with only one stick of ram, but didn't try both sticks separetaly, I don't have any spare dimms though unfortunately. The DIMM that came with it are Hynix Hmcg78mebsa095n aa. I'll also try my known working M.2 SSD form my personal rig, see if that makes any difference. I did spend 3 hours last night looking for any dirt on the board, and cleaned any spots I could see, I do remeber some small particles around the RAM slot.
i'll be reassembling now to see if anything changes, in the meantime though I wanted to share this picture of the DC charging port''s solder joints, they just look a bit off to me:

You could touch them up, but not the source of your issue. A power fault in this area would mean the laptop would completely turn off, not freeze.

On some machines where the board can be flexed, pins at extreme ends of the RAM slot can become detached from the PCB causing intermittent lock ups. Not likely in this model though but something to be aware of. Other issues are contaminants on the pins on the PCB from insects etc. Inspect each pin under a microscope, ensure each is not loose, clean with a toothbrush if dirty. Try with one DIMM installed, on either slot with spare SSD, then run Memtest.

Windows and BIOS will not cause this kind of problem in my experience.

Update: So today I ran memtest on one of the RAM modules, it passed all 4 rounds of testing. Before running it I did try to boot again to windows but was met with another freeze pretty fast, so I believe it is not RAM related. Now on the other hand, I have removed both M.2 SSDs and researched them, they are Samsung PM9A1 drives with the PM number: MZVL21T0HCLR-00B00. I just researched these, and found that they had some form of firmware issue, just in the process of confirming if these ones also have that firmware version on them, will keep posted.
On the other hand I also booted up from my sata ssd through one of the usb ports, and it did boot and did not freeze for the time I used it but unfortunately as it was running from a usb port was quite slow and that instace of Windows did not have any of the drivers for the laptop...
But i'm feeling hopeful it is the m.2 that mught be the culprit.
