    Macbook Bad capacitor

Hello, I have a problem with my MacBook Pro. It doesn't work anymore. I opened it and found that a capacitor was defective. Now the problem is that I can't find it anywhere on the internet. It is a Neo capacitor called "NEX CN7". Where can I buy such a capacitor? I hope someone can help me. Many greetings Stiffi 🙂 A ab22

Best guess from the limited shared info. Need the model of the macbook; the location of the capacitor; a clear pic of the area where the capacitor used to live.

B3 means the cap physical size is 3528 but height is 1.1mm. Check if there is a height restriction on this cap on the logic board. If not, you can use size B tantalum caps here.

like this one (3528 but taller part):

Capacitor detached from PCB – RTX 2070 Super Founders Edition

            Description:
During maintenance on an RTX 2070 SUPER Founders Edition, I found a capacitor lying on my desk after reassembly.
I did not notice it detaching, so I am unsure of its original location on the PCB.

            Procedure performed:
            - Removed backplate
            - Cleaned heatsink and PCB with isopropyl alcohol + soft ESD brush
            - Reapplied thermal compound
            - Reassembled card

            Observed behavior after reassembly:
            - GPU powers on and operates normally under...

            Apple MacBook Pro Mid-2017 A1706 - C7490 Capacitor Help
            by afarr
Hi all, this is my first post, I offered to check out a friends MacBook Pro, A1706 which doesn't power on, before this happened they smelt something burning inside, and Apple refused to help with out being out of warranty.

Among investigating a capacitor on the logic board spilt and scorched surrounding area please refer to images; https://imgur.com/a/AmSwFr3

I found a schematic (x362 MLB Schematic) for the logic board on a thread from this site, I'm unsure about the right terminology when describing so please forgive me.

            On the location I assume...

MacBook Pro 2018 with Activation Lock
            by envym
            Hi everyone!

I have a 2018 MacBook Pro (with Sequoia OS) that I've been using for years with no problem. I recently received an M2 MacBook Pro so I'm mostly using it and not the 2018 one, but since a friend of mine needs a computer, I thought I could restore my 2018 and give it brand-new-like to my friend.

I tried using the built-in tool to restore the MacBook (Settings > General > Transfer or restore > Delete) but it got stuck when trying to remove the Find Device configuration (it asked me for the password for my old Apple ID -now I use the same account but...

            RTX 3080 FE Identifying capacitor
            by Prolog
Hi people, I hope this is the correct spot to post this, I'm new to the forum.

I have an RTX 3080 Founders Edition which has a burnt up capacitor (it was in parallel with another capacitor which appears damaged too), so I am hoping to be able to identify the capacitor values and order replacements.

I hope these photos make it clear which component I am referring to:
(yes, the soldering is a bit botched from removing the blown one, I know)

I have found the board schematic (attached), but there does not seem to be a boardview available. I have never...
