I have 2x Toshiba A215 using motherboard 605A2127101-MB-A02 both have the same symptoms. When you switch them on the bench supply keeps jumping between 1Amp and 1.5 Amps in some instances it will stop at 1.5A and the laptop will post but this is only very occasionally.
I have updated the bios chip with latest bios and replaced bios chip but still the same. The most unusual thing is the Clock Generator Ic gets very very hot that you can barely touch it, this happens on both laptops. Unfortunately I dont have one to swap it with.
Has anybody heard if there are known issues with this IC. I have already tried a light reflow on 1 of the laptops Northbridge/Gpu but symptoms are exactly the same afterwards.
