    Add HDD in Dell Vostro 15 3530 IDH5A LA-M366P

    Hello!

    I have a Dell Vostro 15 3530 laptop
    MAINBOARD LA-M366P

    Can I add HDD to the laptop, is it enough to install the connector or do I need another harness? Visually, the harness is already installed.

    In the BIOS, HDD SATA is supported and it can be turned on and off, but by default the connector for the cable is not installed.

    And what is SW1 next to the HDD connector for?​

          Measure the pins to see if power is connected to this connector. The sata lines appear to already have the necessary capacitors. Maybe you will need to complete the circuit in the upper pins of the socket ( where there are a couple pads free ) . But measure it first.
