LG Gram 17Z90Q identify component labeled BACDSG

Trying to identify this part if anybody has any idea what it might be, would be a good start to repairing this laptop.

I just got the replacement part and removed the damaged component.

I'm not sure if this repair is a fools errand, and would like some opinions of these images I'm posting here.

As far as I can tell this is mostly a damaged ground plane which covers multiple layers. I'm going to look a little closer at Silergy diagrams and try to validate connection integrity on these pads.

Unfortunately I don't think there any schematics or board views for this board.
I'm reading about 128ohm to ground from the positive of the NEK CN7 tantalum poly caps.

What I'm seeing on the board is a little confusing. Assuming the Silergy chips use the same pin outs, The bottom 4 pins should be +19V.
In my photos I don't know what I'm seeing in that cracked region between the center ground pad and the +19V pins. If I'm seeing the layer below around that crack? Between the center ground pad to the +19 pins I'm measuring 38ohms. That seems bad?

If I'm seeing multiple damaged layers should I just throw in the towel on this one?

Yes looks to be the main input on pins 2~5, feedback on pin 6 also seems damaged. You have to remove all the carbonisation to get rid of that low ohm leak on the main rail using a dremmel or grinding tool. Sometimes this can extend under the body of the IC itself.

Also check the +5V output as well, could have multiple dead components if +19V went straight through. Might not be worth the effort.

Yes even under the scope it looks pretty messed up. Cleaning the scoring between the 19V pins does seem like the least of my problems. It really looks like multiple layers are damaged, not even sure I have a dremmel bit small enough to work in that area, My exacto tip is what I've been using to etch away the carbon. Pin 6 is pretty wild the top pad is gone but the vias are still there. I don't think I'm masochistic enough to take this one any further.

If it is a customer repair, I write these off. The only way to fix this is with a complete bodge, so the chances of it failing and bouncing back as a warranty repair are very high. Simply not worth the headache.

I had a gaming Lenovo a while back. A cap had gone short somewhere on the main rail. Because it was a gaming system, the power adaptor rather than shutting down, kept pumping amps into this thing. Ultimately, the first two MOSFET's went short, and welded themselves to the board. So whilst I could have fixed this, any bodge I did would have to carry at least 10 amps of current. It just wouldn't work as a long term fix, so I wrote off that board.

Looks like LG sourced another part for the one that burned out on the other board.
