    asus zenbook 14 wont turn on

    this laptop problem kinda weird to me....the only way to turn on this laptop is must disconnect and re-connect battery....when shut down the laptop it wont turn on anymore....need to disconnect and re-connect battery again....what could be the problem ya

    Reconnect battery, does a CMOS reset and auto starts. Problem is likely bad power button, especially if it's one in the keyboard. Like most Asus laptops.

      i want to try jumper power button pin on keyboard connector but dont know which one is the switch pin...dont have schematic or boardview for this....ux425ia rev 2.1

        Its very easy to find out the power on button pin on kbd connector.Put your red probe to GND connector on motherboard and touch your black probe on kbd connector pins one by one. You can find out touching which pin triggers the mb. The meter should be set in continuity/diode mode.

          i did this but still not triggers the motherboard to turn on....connect motherboard with power supply 20v - set meter to diode mode - red probe on ground and black to keyboard pin.....i try every pin on keyboard but not turn on

            Then you should look at RTC circuit.
