    Universal Inverter

Hello, I am finding it impossible to get an inverter for an LG R500 laptop at a reasonable cost. The part is Eay35695301 or kubnkm130A and has an 8 pin plug. I bought two other 8 pin plug inverters thinking I could use them but the plug size was different. I have found advertisements for a "Universal Inverter".

It requires identifying the pinout and then soldering in the various wires from the motherboard. Has anybody tried these? Any good. Alternatively can anyone suggest an alternative inverter that will fit this plug. Thanks.

You can safely use universal inverters. I applied hundreds of them without any problem.

Thanks Spidey. The original inverter retails for 45 euros or another place $US35 and is out of stock. These universal ones sell for about $5. I'll lose the logo light which was incorporated on the original inverter but that doesn't matter. I might even find a way to rig it off the universal one.
