dv 1000 restart

my dv1000 laptop takes restart after 1/2 minuets after windows boot.

any idea?

hi

there are few things you should consider checking.

-re-seat memory. clean ram pins using pencil eraser. if two modules, try using only one
-clean cooling fan air vent. if clogged it will cause laptop to overheat
-virus can cause laptop to restart too. check with a descent antivirus that you can boot from usb or odd
-error of hard drive can cause a restart too. chkdsk the hard drive
