    Acer AN515-55-57

    Hey All,

Looking at the boardview and schematic provided in the request section for this board. I have been trying to wrap my head around the powerup cycle of this laptop.
Digging through and testing using the provided information has led me to a lack of +VCC_CORE that is preventing startup. It looks like +Vcc_Core is supplied by D2/S1 of PQZ1 which is closed by D1 of PQZ1. Am I missing something?

When testing for the presence of +19VB_CPU i was testing all the boardview callouts for it which lead me to PQA1 pins 2,3,4. Pins 2 and 3 show 19v, however, pin 4 does not show 19v and actually arced when i probed it. unfortunately i do not have an inspection camera to see the pins yet.

What would be the next step of diag?

Have you checked the basic pre-requisites for vcore to be enabled. Vcore coil resistance to GND?
