Model: HP Elitebook 1040 G4
Board Number/model: da0y0umbad0 rev :*D
Hello, I have a hp elitebook 1040 under repair. I don't know the history of this device. The cmos battery is correct. All these measurements were made after reflashing the two cmos of 8mb and 16mb with a programmer.
Since I don't have a way to track consumption when I power it via usb-c, I power it via the battery connector, with the battery disconnected. When I turn on my power supply, there's both the white light on and the amber light flashing 4-5 times on the side, with the power button light staying on all with a consumption of 60mA at 10v. No fan spinning. Then after 5s, the whole thing switches off and the consumption drops to 20mA and the board no longer reacts to the power button, the consumption doesn't change when I press it, cpu is not warm.
When I supply usb-c via port 2, the orange LED flashes 9 times before going out and then coming back on as long as the cable is connected, and when the battery is connected and usb-c cable plugged on port 2, a mosfet becomes so hot that I can't touch it. When I use usb-c on port 1, the two colors are present on the led (steady white and flashing orange), but after they stop flashing, 5 seconds later an orange light comes on and stays on without going out. the situation is the same when the battery is connected.
When the pc is on battery, it shows no sign of life, no light. When I removed the radiator, the paste was in poor condition, with a black trace on the copper and a white stain on the cpu that persists despite cleaning with isopropyl alcohol. No voltage changes when I press the power button. I would be very grateful if you could help me.
