anyone know what that component ? i got someone bringing it to me wit that package blown and cant find any schematic

Unfortunately you forgot to mention the board-number and/or the top marking of the IC, which means we have to ask our crystal ball then.

Probably something like a inductor/fuse at the VIN. If there us another similar controller you'll probably notice the same design with same component at VIN used.

Its a jumper. Looks like its been arcing or something

Share the topside markings of PU1801 IC. A clear pic of the same is even better.

here the ic , short is coming from there on the bottom side of the chip when i inject voltage , KdDKB

so u knew by looking at the circuit look around that it was a buck converter and then wit the Kd starter made u figured it out cause of some info over the web ?

Pin 1, 2 and 3 are common and according to the SY8388RHC diagram are 19V VIN, this voltage is passing through the jumper (PJ1801) supplying the main power to the chip.

Good call my friend. It didn't even came into my mind it could be simply a solder blob...

However, since there was some mess done, it is likely bad news for one of the BGAs. Silergys rarely die without taking something with them from the load...

Btw: afaik the output voltage of these type of Controllers is controlled by a voltage divider at the feedback circuit. so it might be possible to assume the output voltage from a simple calculation here.

You can google both part numbers.Ebay,ali,taobao and other chip sellers list both with Kd or eH .The only difference between the two seems to be the rated amperage

i dunno how to say this ... wit my french canadian sry for everything .. i know i look dumb but I am in EMC , and for me a jumper does look like a bios mobo jumper,, so if I leave it like this its ok ? or do I have to jump it wit a wire so it doesnt cancel the flow ? u guys are talking about 19v , that must be for something about the emc? it need a component of at least lets say 21v as a emc jumper ... but i never had to replace or look at it , if i google emc jumper they show me bios jumper from mobo..

me when i unsoldered that solder blob i thoug it was an ic , but when i saw the connection pathern behind i was like HUH ? look like a fuse or something..
