msi katana gf66 wont turn on after opening and reattaching battery

My msi katana gf66 laptop display went black after picking it up from floor so i let my friend have look at it and open it see what could be the issue if any cable is loose or something and we find out that the battery had missing 2 screws out of 5, he take out the battery and put it back in again and now the laptop wont even turn on, what could happened and what should I do?

Remove the battery -> test with the original power adapter. Does the unit power up with the power adapter?
