Hello everyone,
I'm a perfect newbie in troubleshouting electronics but i'm trying to improve myself, please also forgive me my poor english (I'm french).
I have a Asus ROG R551JW-DM222H that is not working :
- You will find below the specs of the computer and links to boardviews related (it's aproximated as some components are not present due to different version)
it's a :
I5 4200H
Nvidia N16P-GX-A2
PCH SR17E intel haswel HM86
ITE 8585E
- You will also find the values i found WHEN checking the board with my multimeter (In Ohms and in diode mod)
I don't have the history of the computer but the MB seems clean without burn components.
When the DC jack is plug in the first led is working but not the battery one (battery seems to be low)
The PCH is getting hot but cpu fans not starting neether the cpu of gpu seems to go warmer.
Could you please indicate me if you have any probe to do in order to make a diagnosis ?
I thank you very much, this is the first time I'm trying to go deeper in probing motherboard and despite my readings I don't know how to exclude or focus my searchS on which component is broken and/or need to be replace.
