Lenovo B50-80 no display and hot spot

    Hello,

I'm pretty new at electronics but trying to figure it out.
I have Lenovo B50-80 (with LA-B092P Rev 3 motherboard), which should work, but no display.

    Symptoms:
The power led is always green (even if the laptop is turned off).
Then I plugged in the charger to the laptop the power led brights up and the laptop started taking about 0.015A, after the power button press it takes about 0.500A, which seems normal for me, but no display at all (even with HDMI cable). Tried with other RAM, reprogrammed BIOS, and all voltages seem OK.

I spotted some very hot areas near the CPU (even the CPU is cooler), is it normal(Added photos)?

the heat could be normal. You have already done some things without checking a very simple thing:

The first step you want to do with a no-picture issue is to check with external keyboard whether a) CapsLock key is repsonding or b) you're able to reboot the device with CTRL+ALT+DEL.

This would proof you're indeed dealing with a No-Picture instead of a No-P.O.S.T. issue

      Hello again,

Thanks for your answer and tips, this tip is new to me (i will search for more info about this to learn more).
I found, that I made one mistake, at the ram cover printed 1.5V, so I used standard DDR3 RAM, but on the internet looked at PC specs and found what needed low-voltage ram for this model. So I added the correct low-voltage ram.

I plugged in an external keyboard and it seems to work (caps lock, num lock, and ctrl+alt+del restart computers). But when the computer turns on, it keeps restarting every ~5 seconds. Any more ideas? Now I'm going to search for more info about your tips.

You mean, a new issue appeared after installing another RAM module? Please clarify, what happened, detailed as possible
