Hi, I have Dell E6540, and laptop was working strange. CPU always on 0,9Ghz, on startup when I press power button laptop was powering On than shuts down and power up again, and boot in Win. normal. But it's turning on and working.
I disassemble the laptop and found on MBO that cap beside PQ706 have some black smoke on board and on the other side of the MBO section PU800 protective plastic that goes on top of the board have little whole on the plastic, meaning that this chip overheated and I see that one leg of that chip is damaged probably due overheat. My question is can only these two be the reason why laptop wasn't accepting battery, and CPU was working on 0.9Ghz only ?
I manage to find new chip for PU800, but can't find the values of that cap.
I attached pictures
