How to mimic cmos circuit in asus X430FA

    MB:Asus X430FA rev 2.1

The original battery is swollen and defunct and new battery is not available in india. Cmos is integrated in asus and the same is the case here.

Customer is willing to work without battery and how to mimic the cmos circuit. Currently, it resets bios on every boot as battery is not connected.

I couldnt find any boardview file for this model.

    Any ideas friends?

Hi. This is a tall order but a topic of interest to us. If I understand correctly, you will need to mimic the smbus interface that exists inside the BMS in your defective battery pack. That is, a smbus slave to pretend it is a working battery. Not sure if that has been done...yet.

To dump the details of your battery, you will need the TI EV-2400 or valid clone. I believe I purchased the original at the office but need to confirm. Recently a drunk driver drove through our building and destroyed lots of tools and inventory. We have multiple law suits pending.

In the meantime, see attached from a black hat article.

PS: Asus india able to help? Can we ship the battery to you from here (Canada)?

Thanks @mon2. I delivered it back to customer and honestly was not able to fix it.
