Hi All looking for some help please.
I have a 5090 with locked BIOS and want to clear the admin password. I have tried the recommended method from BIOS guides, methods, resources and tools, but no luck. I think this is a new BIOS so the code generators do not support it yet. So I decided to learn something new and get some new tools by going the BIOS dump route.
So following the information in the guide and going with quickest delivery and cost I ended up getting an EXP2019+ and a 16 pin test clip adapter(dont want to removed from MoBo if I don't have to!). Gave a try and my chip is not recognized. :-/
So 1st problem - I have a Winbond W25R256JVFN. None of the programmers recommended here show support for this - I assume its too new. Any way around this?
And 2nd potential problem, I bought THIS test clip. Its carriers the 16 pin at the chip all the way to the EXP2019+. My question on this is I noticed the 16 pin socket adapter that came with the EXP2019+ only passes 8 pins to the programmer socket. Do I need a different test clip?
Thanks and advance and I hope I posted this in the right place - admins apologies in advance if I did not!
