I have a Lenovo V15 G3 that came in with liquid damage. The damage was very minor and some corrosion on the IO board where the power switch was. After cleaning both the motherboard and IO board in alcohol, the laptop turned on and I had backlight for about 3 seconds but nothing further. I don't have a boardview for this laptop (Have requested this in the Schematic Request section), however from previous experience on Lenovo laptops I have checked pins 1, 2, 3 on the EDP connector. When the battery is connected only, I get 8V and when AC adapter is connected, I get... -
Hey everyone,
I'm currently working on a mid-70s Sharp Electronic Digital Clock Radio, Model FY-70CH. I found the service manual online, printed it out, and have been studying it for a while. My main reasons for tackling this are: (1) I want to learn electronics and figured I'd start with something I had on hand, and (2) I want to fix its issues. Right now, the radio sounds awful, has about 5V DC at the speaker terminals, and the alarm time setting doesn't work. But I'm not asking how to fix these problems.

Ii wonder if anyone can help me. I have a Acer x163w monitor which is not powering up. The PSU main capacitor's one leg had completly come off - I replaced it but the PSU is still not outputting DC. I found the monitor in questions service manual here on manuals lib but the schematic in there is a completely different - the schematic shows no mosfet to drive the transformer while the one I have does use a mosfet - also the schematic shows only one optocoupler but mine has two.
The PSU board is labelled FM-20A02-AAA made by APD as per the image below. I am trying to find a schematic for this... -

i purchased a used dell e6540 laptop used 10 months ago from a vendor on ebay. intel i-7 processor, 16 gb ddr3 memory, 256 gb ssd., mobo la-9413p (rev 1.0 dated 2014-08-04). i've inflicted no damage on it since purchase but its past is unknown. starting 2 weeks ago it began to fail to boot (initially 9 of 10 boot attempts failed, now 10 of 10 fail). there was no new hardware or software added (i was using as a kodi video server). the post process doesn't complete and booting no longer displays the dell logo screen - screen remains black with no backlight. some other...
