Hello,
We have 4 workstations HP Z440 that have problems with the BIOS.
I tried all the bios uploaded on the site, but with none of them the machines show video. With 2 of the bios (they are attached) the machine behaves as if it is working - the light on the front is white and there is no beeping. With all others (9 other BIOS attached), there are 8 beeps.
I'm asking for help

Hey..

I'm attempting to update a Z440 BIOS to accommodate resizable BAR for use with an Intel ARC GPU.

Process as described here:

So far I have managed to:

1. Dump original BIOS with ASProgrammer + CH341 (This needed power to be supplied to motherboard with 8 / 24 connectors attached.

2. Verify Dump

3. Add ReBarDxe.ffs at the end of the volume containing PciBusDxe using UEFITool. Save modified BIOS

4. Wipe BIOS chip

5. Write modified BIOS to chip and verify.

6. Power Z440. 8 red lights / beeps encountered to indicate BIOS issue.

7. Wipe and Flash original BIOS. Computer boots.


I'm guessing there is some sort of check happening which doesn't allow the added DXE driver?

Just wondering if anyone knows if this is even possible to do?

maybe someone needed this it works 100% i already tested that. choose between that two.

These BIOS have resizeable BAR enabled?
