Hoping someone can provide me with page 78, or the data sheet for the Acer Swift X N20C12 motherboard, I've been troubleshooting it for some time and have arrived at what I think to be a good conclusion, to summarize:
Device is around 4 years old, always been plugged in (I know, lol) and shut off without giving the Acer shutdown screen 2 days ago.
I have ruled out battery, and dead cable/port, as device does not work after the CMOS reset, the battery reset hole under the device, and the power button to drain CMOS do not work, I have used a Multi meter and can read 19V into the barrel jack which also rules out a deadcable/port.
I have been probing with a MM all night, and have identified what I think to be 3 fuses, and then a MOSFET coming from the DC port, I get continuity across one of the 3 things I think are fuses. I would like to 100% identify them prior to any further work so any help is appreciated!
I have attached two good photos (iPhone 16 Pro Max has an excellent camera), in LA-L202P Barrel Jack you will see the port at the top right, then 3 things (I think are fuses) and just below that is what I think to be a 3-pin MOSFET, I get 1.6V across two of those terminals in diode mode on the MM so I think it is good, but like I said, just above it I only get continuity in one of the three fuses. Also attached is LA-L202P underside which shows what I think to be further evidence of a fuse/fuses as it is marked 6C with that little symbol, ChatGPT told me this '100% means its a fuse!' but as we likely all know, ChatGPT isn't that good.
Please help!
This is my first go at board level repair, and would like to get it right. I don't know a lot of the engineering terms etc as school sucked for me, but I can always look it up!
Thanks
