P4SD - case OCY
Hello all, wel i have this p4sd board from a hp d530 sff.
the issue is that i have recapped all the caps that seemed blown, there are still some others that ive seen blown on other p4sd but in this particular one the rest of the caps look just fine... (or do u advise to start recapping the whole mobo -or 'at least' all the ones ive seen getting blown- as a good practice?) thing is that this mobo wont properly boot much often
it does boot, every other time (is much more frecuent not booting than booting), i have found no particular pattern -which still is a pattern, huh-... lets say i was testing it with one dimm, if i decide to add another dimm it wont boot (dimms are fine, i have more), or whatever... sometimes it doesnt even imply adding or removing a device, just go on/off... and i dont have to push the on switch it turns on by plugging AC, i am very desperate cause it is just the beggigning for me, if any1 here could point me to specifics o this mobo i will appreciate a lot.
I have not one or two of em, i got plenty, all going boom for one or another reason
and this psu seems to be working fine, the outputs are, imo, in the accepted range and i dont think is the psu, but different opionions are accepted as wel...
when it boots i dont ever get passed the first booting screen, normally cause im testing it deviceless and wel cant do much more...
and yeah if i get a successful boot and i decide to add a device, it is much more likely that it wont boot again... if i remove the device and try to boot just like it had worked, then it wont (normally wont, every other time it does, but extremely rare)
Im planning on posting as much info (and will try to get a decent cam,) on my issues regarding p4sds for anyone out there who could find it useful...
