    Intel D865Perl Rev. 207

    Hi Guys,

Got a mobo here, which after searching the threads seems to be a known bad board.

Problem presented with a BSOD during the loading of windows with an address of 1x0000001F (I think).

Two Nichons between RAM and CPU have bulging tops, but no electrolyte visible. They are :

    560uf 6.3v 105c HN(M)

There are also a bunch of HM(N) Nichon 220uf 10v and some yellow ones next to the CPU unknown brand 560uf 4v.

I am gonna try to replace just the bulging ones at this stage with Panasonics from Farnell http://au.farnell.com/9691847/passiv...nic-eeufc0j561

    Anyone else have any comments?

    Cheers

Replace everything from 470uF and higher.

Replace all the Nichicons in this range. I have nothing but problems with HM and HN series. I'm told there was a date range for bad product, so I interpret that date range as Begin to End of production, and replace them all no matter what.

If your board is still somewhat alive this is heartening. I recapped a few dead boards, and they stayed dead. Waste of caps, so I unsoldered them and put them back into stock.
