    Gigabyte GA-8IPE1000 PRO G ... 3 bad caps

3 caps have bulged on me. i can only assume they are related to the 12v plug for the cpu power since the rest of the fans on the board will turn on when the 12v plug is out. i ordered some compatible caps and recapped the board prior to finding this site and forum...dar-n....i've managed to get the cpu fan to run when the atx power is in, but the whole thing still dies when once the 12v power is in. any ideas on that? i just might use the recap service BadCaps provides!?!? the board is kinda old but the system itself runs peachy. PLUS its getting a little tough to find socket 478/800mhz fsb boards with AGP and plenty of old PCI slots these days. all these hoity-toity 775's and PCI-E's and DDR 2's running around...

Sounds like maybe one of the FETs shorted when the caps went.
    Ludicrous gibs!

how would i know if that was the case? would it likely be one that is close to the caps?
