HP ProBook Backlit Keyboard Problem

I bought a backlit keyboard to replace the original non-backlit one on my HP 430 G8. It has the connector on board, but the backlight doesn’t work. I already installed HP Hotkey Support and checked the BIOS, but still no luck. Could it be disabled by default, or am I missing something?
