You`ll have to post more info than that. What model is the motherboard, what part number is the bios chip, where is the bios from that you`re wanting to flash is it from the ASRock support page - post a link to it .

I understand, the motherboard in question is in a loop and I wanted to make sure that the bios would not be corrupted, so the normal update method will not be possible with just a bios recorder, the motherboard (Asrock H87 Pro4) is old but I wanted to recover

The bios files that I downloaded have a size larger than that supported by the bios and that's my difficulty, I have to convert to the supported size but they are worse than the original, will it have to be another program for the conversion other than UEFITool
        thanks for answering

It's very strange, as far as I know only ASUS uses an encapsulation (.cap). Look on the support site, if there is not a different version. For such older boards there were some DOS programs to upgrade the BIOS, and they needed somtimes a dedicated file version. Maybe you just picked such a file version instead of a pure .bin container ?

UEFITool might not help here, as as far as I know it can only handle the ASUS .cap encapsulation. But you can try to read the file with UEFITool to see if it recognizes the file at all and disassembless the bios content.

Or maybe your board has two bios chips, and the content is divided between them ? ASUS used such a solution on many boards.

Need Clean BIOS/EC Bin File for Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 11e - Stuck with 0275 Error CMS

                Hello everyone,

I am attempting a repair on a Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 11e that is currently stuck at boot with the error: "0275 error CMS" even after setup new bios battery and will not allow me to enter the BIOS/Setup.

This is a critical issue that I believe requires flashing the BIOS chip directly using a programmer (e.g., CH341A/RT809H), as standard software updates or resets are not possible.

I have opened the laptop and identified the main BIOS chip...

                Hi all,

My Samsung Galaxy Book 2 Pro 15.6-inch laptop has no display and won't boot.
The charging red LED lights up, but the charging screen doesn't show any indication.
When I press the power button, the blue LED cycles on and off three times, then the screen doesn't turn on, and the device won't boot.
(I've tried removing the battery and resetting the device, but the issue persists.)

Notice to users of XGecu TL866II Plus / T48 / T56 / T76 programmers regarding BIOS backup file size
                by m1ch43lzm
                Hi everyone
I noticed on the Xgpro software the BIOS backup files have extra bytes at the end when reading some chips, this is because the Xgpro software also reads the OTP region of those flash chips, and by default will append that region to the saved file
                Programmer models: XGecu TL866II Plus / T48 / T56 / T76

Example: GD25LQ128D (1.8V), IC size is listed as 0x1000000 Bytes (16777216 bytes) + 0xC00 bytes, those extra 0xC00 bytes will be appended to the end of the saved file by default, resulting in a file size of 16780288 bytes
There's also an extra OTP Secu.R...

HP Pavilion 15 bc400ns - Complete Black Screen - Only video on live usb
                by iZakre
                Hello everybody!

To put you in context I recently replaced the battery from my HP Pavilion 15 bc400ns with a used one, everything was going good. The same day, I decided to update the BIOS, everything went good. The thing occurred after I let the battery drain iddling on Windows 11 for the second time to calibrate it that the screen did not turn on again, the computer was on but the screen did not turn, like it would not wake from hibernation. I decided to restart the computer but got no video.

The thing is that I had installed TeamViewer and could log into the computer...
