BenQ FP17E+ blank display

Firstly - brilliant site and forums, I've lost hours over the last week looking through it I arrived here while looking for a fix for the above monitor. I've got a pair of them that I bought about 4 years ago as I like a big desktop

Originally I thought the back-light had gone but once I dismantled it I realised there were 2 lights and they're a pig to get out so I investigated further. I did a bit of juggling of parts with its working twin and proved that the back-lights were OK. Googling led me to the Dell E172 and common 4 transistor problem but I also came across this:-

As the cap in that area is bulging and the board scorched where the transistor is I'll try that fix first.

FYI the board is labelled 48.L0Y02.A02, the bulging cap is at C712 (Jamicon 1000uF 10V 105C 440C2(M) ) and the transistor is at IC701 (can't make out what it is but I'll go with the one in the above link).

In Photo176a I think I'll add some extra holes in the marked area to help the convection airflow seeing as a lot of the problems seem to have an over-heating aspect.

Oops, those last 2 links are no good as they'd cost me £15 in delivery. So gotta find a UK source.

Anyone know where in the UK I can get both:-
1 x FQU11P06
1 x Cap (1000uF, 10V, 105c, 5mm pitch)

without extortionate delivery charges and spares I won't need?

OK, update.

After struggling to get the tranny and cap I needed elsewhere I bit the bullet and ordered from RS. I figured I'd offset the cost of the minimum order quantity (5) by not paying any delivery charge as they have a trade counter near me. But that turned into an epic as some clown in their warehouse cancelled my order which took 3 visits to sort. Thanks to the nice young lady at the counter I've ended up with the caps and trannies for free and free delivery!

So I did the repair mentioned in the earlier link and also enhanced the air flow as I mentioned in my first post. Additionally I've enlarged the vent holes in a couple of areas of the rear plastic shell to encourage a better air flow across the inverter board which should help. I also checked for dry joints and re-flowed the ones suggested. So now my monitor works again

But now I notice its twin has pink tinge. So now I'll have to start messing about again checking leads, connections, etc. Any suggestion?

BTW if anyone needs the cap and tranny for this repair let me know as these spares will sit unused in my spares bin for evermore

A pink tinge usually indicates CCFLs nearing the end of their life.
