ebay camera lcd replacement??

friends camera needs a new lcd, its broken I was wondering if I should grab a china made ebay part and swap it out or just find a oem part?

I mean its just the lcd, it wont affect the photo or anything or die on its own? or will it look so crappy quality to look at and be so bad that it will take out the camera one day with short circuits when it dies? I heard a lot of things about iphone displays that people buy from ebay. So I thought I'd rather ask around before I click buy now.

cheap one should work. just might not last as long as genuine!

lol. but the Genuine(used) is priced a lot more then I can justify spending.
So do they die on their own or something?? the cheap one?

are there any other options, it seems to work fine with the cracked screen, I just wanted to replace it anyway.

The cheap ones - might not even work at all. There are a lot of scams and sellers on ebay who sell junk...!
