I've got a e172fp that I got broken, and have been trying to fix for the last few years (It's been sitting in the closet taunting me). The lower backlight tubes were burnt out, so I replaced them with tubes from a ibook and a scanner (wrong size, but they work). Now the display is acting funny. I don't know if it was bad before I started dinking with it, or if I messed it up. There is visible fuzziness, and as you raise the contrast the image becomes more and more distorted until it it completely inverted. See pics:
Anyone know how this might be repaired? I didn't mess with anything on the board with the VGA connector, so this is a little bit odd.
