Repairing Roberts (Sangean) RD-60 Portable DAB

    Hi

I am trying to get this DAB/FM portable working, at the moment its totally dead.

Power is getting into what looks like a voltage regulator circuit that comprises of what seems to be a transistor (marked 358) and a 5 pin IC (marked L1A[P]) both SMD but no voltage appears on the output which is what seems to drive the remainder of the IC's on the board.

I found a circuit for another model again from Sangean but it wasn't quite the same and gives no clues the parts used here.

Is there any reference list for components based on their markings to help find a replacement.

    Regards
    Mike

Hi, sorry to reply to such an old thread but I have just come up against the same problem and wondered if you fixed it? I think that the L01 marked chip is a P channel buck controller like this but a different pinout:

I connected a 5V supply to the output and the radio works. Did you find out what the chip is?

nrgize, it might be useful to the OP if you post some resistance readings on the pins of that regulator. That way, he could determine if you are fixing the same problem. I see that the SM is available from:

      Is it plugged in?
