This is my first thread thanks for having me
I am troubleshooting a JCV PCX-100 boombox that has issues with tape FF and REW on both decks. It plays/ pauses fine. It clicks out of FF/REW 2-5ish seconds after pressing FF/REW while powered on. It will stay in FF/REW position if powered off. I got the PCX-100 manual on another BadCaps thread and removed the back/CD player to see the tape mechanisms. I can see the gears hopping out (???) of FF/REW when I try to FF/REW while motor is on.
Im curious if anyone has had similar issues/ ideas about the source of the problem. Thank you let me know if any additional information or photos would be helpful.
