    acer E1-531 upgrading processor

    Hi all
I have acer E1-531 MB 7912P UMA with pentium dual core 2nd generation processor. I want to upgrade it with core i3 processor. With dual core processor everything is ok. But when i use the core i3 processor, the laptop automaticaly shutoff after 30 min. I've change the bin of main eeprom with a dump from a core i3 downloaded from this site but the problem persist. Someone have idea
to solve this or can you clean ME zone from my original dump.
    Thank you

Check, if your mobo have PCH HM70 (SJTNV) or HM76 (SLJ8E), with HM70 you cannot upgrade.

Just like sopik said it is impossible if you have SLJ4N HM67 chipset on your board. You will have to replace it to SLJ8E HM76 in order to do a 3rd gen upgrade.

100% agreed and exactly that seems to be the case.
