    ECS K7S5A Pro

I have an ECS K7S5A Pro. Next to the CPU are 9 3300uf 6.3v OST RLX caps; 4 of those show visual signs of failure. The rest of the caps are G-Luxons and look great. My first question is how can i go about getting replacements for all 9 Osts and what would be the best manufacturer to go with. Second is..how reliable are G-Luxon caps? Thanks

If you go to the trouble to repair the board, then you should replace the G-Luxons. Those aren't a very reliable brand.

Re: What and where to buy replacements, it would take a while to go through that here, but it's all explained in the FAQ section.

Yup - replace all the G-Luxons. They have a reputation for drying up and failing silently without any bulging or venting.

It's highly suggested to replace also those g-luxon caps...

        OST RLX at 3300uF 6.3v 10mm is:
        • impedance : 0.014 ohm
        • permissible ripple current : 2780 mArms

Replacement that match or exceed the spec for OST RLX caps could be:
        • Rubycon MBZ, MCZ
        • Panasonic FJ
        • Chemi-con KZG (no longer recommended on this forum due to some failure report), KZJ
        • Sanyo WG

But anyone here can add their recommendation caps to that list...
