My Panasonic 42" plasma tv suddenly stopped working. It now shows the 5 blink error code. Anyone know what this code points to?

Posted earlier today but post seems to have gone missing so here's the gist of it:

My TV is showing a 5 blink error code which, from what I have gleaned from the Internet, suggests an SC board failure. My meter, set to continuity, bleeps if I connect to the two probes of the SC2 connector. Is this a short to ground? Has the SC board failed?

I tend to keep all my Hi Fi / Audio / TV equipment an unusually long time: Amps and turntable 40 years, TV 10 years, even my phone is a old Nokia 3310! I'm just old-fashioned I guess. Trouble is, just like me, they are all showing signs of 'getting on a bit' and need some care and attention. This, I hope, is where this Forum and you guys come in. I'm up for learning as much as I can and having a go myself. Cheers.
